Here's an update on the intern funds. Thank you for being a continual support you guys! Thanks Dan for consistently helping out financially and thanks to the rest of you for praying so hard! There has been really cool progress on this fundraising.
ICF Funds haven't been increasing, but I am trusting in God's provision! Intern Funds have been doing really well!! I've actually been exceeding my weekly goal amounts! Praise God!!
It's officially summertime for those who are at UCSD, but it's no pause for God's ministry in my life!
Daniel Jacobs graciously donated to help with the intern fund this past week.
--I hope that more ICF funds start flowing in because I want international students to have secure scholarships before the school year starts.
--Part of me also hopes that I can raise much more than these funds so that I can use them for times when I minister to people outside of formal settings. For example, when I'm meeting with an international student to do bible study, I want to be able to buy them tea or coffee, but I usually can't because I don't have those resources. God's an abundant Provider though, so I pray that these circumstances change this next year!!
I'm going to do something different starting this month. I'm going to make long-term goals now instead of the short ones. Then I'll chart it for you all! So exciting! 1. ICF -0/$680

God is totally faithful. No matter what the numbers say and no matter how scared I can get, I refuse to believe the lie that God will not provide. Because He is a good Father who has plenty and will give when we ask. :) There have been circumstances in my life this past month that have made it incredibly difficult to trust that God will provide, and honestly, I have been very stressed out. But this morning, I have decided again that I will trust in God. I choose to trust that God has more than enough for me and that I do not need to be worrying about not having enough. :)Thank you so much for praying for me! I have full confidence that God willnotleave me hanging when I ask for provision so that I could work in His kingdom. Thank you again for partnering with me through this faith journey.

Please keep praying for me! Although the numbers don't say it now, I know that God has plenty of provision for me. I am seeking Him and doing His work, so I know that He will not give me a stone if I ask for bread or a snake if I ask for fish. For the month of May, here is how you can join me in doing God's work!
1. ICF - $90 by May 28th. Total of $210 by September 9th.This is for the leadership retreat for the next school year (2013-2014). We will gather together and envision for the next year of international students. We need this meeting to grow as a team in trust and in planning as we connect with God in His plans.
2. Internship - $250 by June 4th.This is for resources as I keep studying prophecy (hearing God). As an intern in the church, I help to develop people in their gifts in hearing from God, whether it's their first or billionth time.
3. Personal Needs - $120/month.
This is the same reason as last month. God provided for me last month, and I believe that in His abundance, He will provide again. As you support me, I trust that God will support you.

How I Need God as Provider in My Life Right Now: For the Internship, I need to fundraise $100/month. -Books/materials I need to learn for myself. -Books/materials for others that I'll develop in the prophetic. -Prophetic events and conferences held by Ethnos -Prophetic events and conferences for me to attend (so that we can learn from and improve our ministry). *Short-term Goal: $400 by the May 1st (I haven't raised anything from January) For Personal Living Expenses, I need about $120/month. (That's $30/week). -Groceries (I haven't asked for this money before because I've tried to sustain myself by working on the side, but I'm finally deciding to accept full-time ministry until June or September, depending on what God leads me to do.) *Short-term Goal: $120 by May 1st For ICF, I don't need any immediate funds because our retreats and major events have passed by. If we need more funds, I will update this.

What I'm Doing This Year: Working for God full-time!
Ethnos Internship
I am studying prophecy (hearing from God) with Pastor Chuck Whitley, learning about how prophecy is used in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and in this current day and age. Why? Prophecy doesn't operate the same way today as it did back then. Back then, only select people heard from God (a people group called prophets). Now, because of Jesus, every Christian is capable of hearing from God. Those who practice and are trained under experienced prophetic leaders can really nourish and encourage people with the heart of God. You might ask if I'm charismatic. I don't really know how to answer that question. I'm learning about the prophetic from the charismatic and reformed perspective. I think both are useful because my goal is to follow Jesus and voice God's heart, not a tradition (whether that's charismatic or reformed). Just as a clarification: Ethnos is a non-denominational church.
International Christian Fellowship (ICF)
I am a leader of leaders at International Christian Fellowship, which is affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (a campus ministry at UCSD and also at many other campuses nationwide). We seek to befriend international students and show them the love of Jesus in practical, emotional, and spiritual ways.
These are our faithful leaders (Kristen, Tracy, me in the pink, Jessica, Jen, Alaina, Ken, and Yu-Han).
Each of them love Jesus so much! We seek to bring the Kingdom of God to Earth in tangible ways.
Couple Goals for this Year:
1. For all of our leaders to be bible studies or spiritual conversations with 2 non-Christian internationals per quarter.
2. See 7 international students come to faith by June 7th. (3 have come to faith so far.)
This is our UCSD ICF group at Catalina Island for retreat with other ICF college groups from all of Southern California. Our group ended up being 1/3 of the whole retreat! (Last year we only brought about 6 international students.)
